GPS data loggers
This unit usually as a portable spy device. The function simply logs the position of GPS device located at regular intervals in its internal memory. Let say, you put the device on your vehicle that your son bring it to visit his friend for somewhere location. After your son return home, you can check the GPS tracker data by downloading to your computer and analyzing the track list, now we know what the thru where he go. Data pushers
GPS data pusher device usually fixed to the vehicle. The device will push or send the data position at regular intervals to determine server for instantly analyze the data. Today many company provide GPS data push technology services for business environments. GPS tracking systems often configured to transmit location and telemetry input data at a set update rate or when an event (door open/close, auxiliary equipment on/off) triggers the unit to transmit data.
These systems suitable for extra surveillance vehicle security, transportation services, private vehicle security and race control. For example stolen vehicle searching. Owners of expensive cars can put a tracker in it, and "activate" them in case of theft. "Activate" means that a command is issued to the tracker, via SMS or otherwise, and it will start acting as a fleet control device, allowing the user to know where the vehicle is. A delivery or taxi company may put such a tracker in every of its vehicles, thus allowing the staff to know if a vehicle is on time or late, or is doing its assigned route. The same applies for armored trucks transporting valuable goods, as it allows to pinpointing the exact site of a possible robbery.
Data pullers
Data Pullers are coming into more common usage in the form of devices containing a GPS receiver and a cell phone which, when sent a special SMS message reply to the message with their location. The data from the GPS tracker device provide by user itself and server analyzing the data transmitting by user.
